why being mobile optimized matters
When Was the Last Time You Looked At Your Website on Mobile?
Recent data from Adobe’s Digital Trends study shows that people are spending 70% of their internet time on mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. This means it’s more important than ever that your website looks great and functions correctly on these devices otherwise you risk turning off potential customers.
Besides the look and feel of your website on mobile it’s important for your SEO (search engine optimization). Keep in mind that Google considers the mobile-friendliness of your site as a ranking factor so it’s vital that your site is mobile optimized.
3-Step Checklist
It’s a good practice to routinely view your website on your phone (and tablet) and look for a few key indicators such as:
- How fast is your homepage loading (between 1-3 seconds)?
- Is the font sized and formatted correctly?
- Do all of the website features such as your logo, button, images fit correctly on the screen?
